Our Areas Our Zones
Navigate through diverse landscapes, from dense forests to urban scenarios, creating a dynamic and engaging experience in every game.
Behind Enemy Lines
Featuring a to-scale Chinook helicopter this game zone was NEW to Battle Grounds in 2012. Enemy troops have taken down a chopper with one of your comrades still inside. Sent deep into enemy territory, and with limited time before the enemy take him hostage, your team must make a daring rescue.
So what are you waiting for? "Get to Zeeee Choppaaaaa!"
Village of the Damned
Use all of your stealth and agility to sneak through the Village un-detected by the enemy. Deliver the VIP, attack the church, eliminate all of the opposition or hold the guard towers to win!
With 4 towers, dozens of huts, a church, graveyard, Shrek's toilet and lot's of cover this game zone is also home to our Battle Grounds Adventure Activities favourite's "Crazy Graveyard" and "Church on Time" created especially for those stag and hen parties.
Castle Chaos
With two levels, two stair cases, four entrance points and plenty of places to hide our Castle Chaos game zone is guaranteed to require your team to work carefully together to launch and attack against your enemies to see who's worthy of holding the Castle for once and for all.
Trench Warfare
Bigger and better than ever dive into a network of 6ft deep trenches dodging enemy claymore's to stamp out the opposition.
"Dig for Victory because Battle Grounds needs you!"
Doomsday Mayan Temple
Step back a few thousand years to a time of Holy Temples and Gods of the Underworld.
In a game dominated by our NEW 3 story temple your team will need all of their wit and cunning to wipe out the enemy and clinch victory by storming the sacred grounds.
The Oilfield
Unique to Battle Grounds this is our most intimidating game scenario - dozens of oil drums and metal bunkers make this a high impact, high volume setting!
A rival mob of roughnecks are looking to take over the oil fields. Dominate key positions in King of the Hill, capture the flag or wipe out all of the opposition to claim victory and rights to the riches!
Well we are in Aberdeen afterall!
Paintballing FAQ
What time do I need to arrive?
If you are booked in for the full day (09:30-16:30) or the morning session (09:30-12:30) you must arrive at 09:00 sharp. All group members must sign-in, have their kit issued and receive a safety brief before 09:30 when our first games start therefore it is imperative that your whole group arrive at 09:00.
If you are booked for the afternoon session only (13:30-16:30) we ask that you arrive at 13:00 sharp as above.
What do I need to bring on the day?
We strongly recommend that you play in comfortable footwear, ideally either trainers or boots with good ankle support. You will be provided with coveralls do keep the worst of the mud off of your clothes but a change of clothes may also be a good idea if it’s particularly wet. Armoured paintball gloves are available on site but your also more than welcome to bring your own.
Will the weather affect our day?
It’s only on a very rare occasion that we have to cancel our events due to extreme weather therefore unless we are flooded or the roads to the site are too dangerous for us to ask our customers to travel .We will be open if rain, snow or shine. In the unlikely event we are forced to cancel a day due to weather conditions we will make every effort to re-schedule your booking.
Does it hurt?
The short answer is yes – it can sting if you are shot at very close range although every safety precaution has been made, including providing all of our players with top quality safety equipment, to make sure you have an enjoyable and safe day. At worst you’ll come away with a few bruises to show off!
How many players do I need to bring?
We require a minimum of 6 players to open the site for any session although if you have a small group size we will more than likely be able to join your group in with other small groups on the day to meet the 6 player requirement. To have a private paintball game playing against members of you own group, you will need to bring a minimum of 40 players or request own marshal (charges will apply).
What food and drink is available on site?
We have a great tuck shop on site stocked with a wide variety of crisps, chocolate bars and juice.
You can pre-order hot dogs (we need at least 3 days notice).
For Paintball walk on- please order your food in the morning at the check-in.
Visit our Wooden Cabin where you can purchase hot drinks to keep warm and energized.
For your convenience and safety, we accept contactless payments only at the Wooden Cabin.
Who can play?
Anyone who is physically fit and over the age of 12 years of age can play paintball with us. Players who are under the age of 16 on the game date will need a parent or guardian to sign them in upon arrival.
Can I bring my own paintball equipment?
You are more than welcome to bring your own equipment along on the day. All we ask is that your air tank is in test, your marker is chronographed within our safety limits and that any other equipment (masks etc.) are up to our standards.
Can I bring my own paintballs?
Due to health and safety reasons regarding the safe storage of paintballs we only allow paintballs purchased on site to be used.
How many paintballs will I need?
This depends on whether your with us for a full or half day and whether you fancy yourself as a bit of a Rambo too! On average players use between 400-500 for a half day and 600-1000 for a full day.
Do you have changing facilities?
We have a unisex changing room which you are more than welcome to make use of. We provide full body coveralls which are worn over the top of your own clothes therefore you should really only need to change your shoes (if it's particulalry muddy) as opposed to changing your clothes. We do suggest a change of clothes if it's very wet as the coveralls keep the mud and paint off but are not water proof.
How do we find you?
We are located just 14 miles from Aberdeen City Centre off of the B9125 5 miles from Westhill and 4 miles before Banchory.
Please use the google map link below to view our precise location and to gain your own directions right from your doorstep.

After the sign-in, parents can choose to stay and enjoy the action or pick up their young warriors when the paint settles. We like to think of it as the best kind of childcare—thrilling, action-packed, and utterly entertaining!
Players aged 16 and above can sign themselves in.
